Once the ballot and discussion have opened, the VRC members will review the site report and/or PRQ in the discussion thread.

This is the opportunity for the VRC to ask questions and discuss/debate different topics and aspects of the burn center verification by way of comments in the discussion.

VRC members will then visit the ballot to vote. There are the following options:

  • Verification - they believe that the burn center has met the criteria to be verified.

  • Nonverification - they do not believe the burn center has met the criteria to be verified.

  • Nonverification pending further review - they do not believe the burn center has met the criteria to be verified; however they believe that with quality/process improvement, the burn center may be able to meet the criteria within 6 months-1 year.
