Question: For patients who are discharged from the hospital and don’t need to follow up in the burn clinic, do you enter those as "Follow Up complete" under LTOs?
Answer: Yes, you should enter "Follow Up Complete" for these patients.
Question: On Related Admission, how do we enter more than one operating room (OR) visit done on separate days done by different providers? There's only one spot to enter Hospital Procedure Start Date and one spot Procedure MD 1 and Procedure MD 2?
Answer: You may enter multiple procedures in the ICD 10 Hospital Procedures table on the Related Admissions page. You will not be able to enter MD names for these procedures after the first procedure, but you can enter additional procedures using the Procedure Start Date to indicate different dates for OR procedures.
Question: Is there any way to track complications on a Related Admissions case?
Answer: There is currently no Complications data point for related admissions. The suggestion is to enter any complication as a Diagnosis Code for the time being. The Data Definitions Workgroup will look into this.
Question: Is it possible to put in more than one surgery for readmission? I had a patient readmitted and had 2 surgeries. I could put one surgery in but not both. I could put the ICD 10 codes for both procedures but could not entire complete information for each instance.
Answer: All of the fields on the Related Admissions page are currently being reevaluated by the Data Definitions Workgroup.
