Welcome to our new learning platform, Path! We are very excited to be switching over to this new system and anticipate that it will be a much smoother and user-friendly experience for all of you.
Requesting seats
a. Requesting seats will remain basically the same
i. Email abls@ameriburn.org and let us know how many seats you would like to purchase at once
1. You no longer need to differentiate between physician and non-physician
ii. We will email you back an invoice and then add the seats to your “team” once the invoice is paid
iii. If you run out of seats on your team, email us and we will send a new invoice, then increase your team size once the invoice has been paid
2. Becoming a Team Manager
When you request the seats, we will assign you as the “team manager”. This means that you will have the ability to add participants to the ABLS™ Now course as well as monitor progress, completion, and certification for each participant in real time instead of waiting for daily reports through your team dashboard
3. Accessing the course
a. When you are assigned as Team Manager, or when you add participants, you will receive an email with a link to the new site. You must be logged into your ABA profile before you click the link. This will automatically sign you in.
i. Once there you can click on the “teams” tab to be directed to your team or “courses” to see what courses you personally have in process
b. You can also access the new site by clicking the “learning center” icon on the left hand side of your ABA profile
4. Adding participants to the course
a. Go to your team dashboard
b. Click on the users tab
c. Click “Invite by email” on the right hand side and add all the participants, separate each email with a comma.
i. All users must have an ABA profile and have their demographics filled out to complete the evaluation and certify
d. Copy and paste this message into the body of the email:
Hello and welcome to ABLS™ Now! This is a self paced course that usually takes around 5 hours to complete. You can pause and continue the course whenever you need to by accessing it through the “learning center” icon on the left hand side of your ABA profile. You will have two chances to pass your evaluation, if you do not pass after the second try, you will need to repurchase ABLS™ Now. Once you have completed your course, you will be prompted to complete a course evaluation. You must complete this evaluation to receive your certification code. This code must be entered into Impexium to receive your certificate. If you have any trouble navigating the site, please reach out to Path technical support on the course page. 5. Monitoring progress
a. To monitor who in your team has started or completed the course, go to your team dashboard and click on “credits completed” to see who has passed and on “Assignments” to see if any failed.
