BCQP Multifactor Authentication Set-up Guide
This guide will walk users through the steps necessary to set up Authenticator. We are using Google Authenticator as an example, but users can choose the authenticator app they prefer.
You will not need to reset your username and password on the BCQP website.
Prerequisite Steps:
During this process you will need to have your mobile device to download the Google Authenticator application from the App Store.
You should have received an email from noreply@ababcqp.org which includes a QR Code that you will need to register Google Authenticator with the BCQP.
If you do not see the email in your Inbox, please check your Junk Mail or Spam Folder.
Download Authenticator App to your mobile device
Search the App Store for Google Authenticator or app you prefer.
Click on “Get” to download the application to your device.
When the app has finished downloading you should have the Authenticator icon on your smartphone: Google Authenticator is shown below.
If you have received an email from noreply@ababcqp.org, you can continue to Register Google Authenticator with the BCQP on page 3.
If you have not received an email, please email support-bcqp@bdatainc.com before proceeding.
Without an email you still may be able to complete the set-up by going to ababcqp.org and entering your Username and Password. If the switch has been made to your account you will be redirected to a screen with a QR code. If this is the case, you can proceed to Step
3.If you receive an error message please contact support-bcqp@bdatainc.com.
Register Google Authenticator with the BCQP:
You will receive an email from noreply@ababcqp.org.
Open the email and click on the “ENROLL IN MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION” link.
When you click on the “Enroll” link above, you will be directed to the BCQP log-in page displaying a QR Code on your screen requesting that you enter your passcode.
Use your smartphone and open the Google Authenticator App (see icon below) that you downloaded during the prerequisite step:
After opening the App, you will see the option to scan a QR Code or enter a setup key. Select “Scan a QR code”
You may receive the following prompt. Select “OK”
Center your camera on the QR code on your computer monitor and capture it.
This will link the Authenticator App to your BCQP account.
Confirm that you can Log-in to the BCQP
Open a new web browser and go to the BCQP sign-in page at https://ababcqp.org
Enter your username and password.
The following prompt will display:
If you don’t enter your passcode within a certain amount of time, you may get timed out from Login screen. If you receive the “Timed Out” notification, you can do one of two things:
(1) Hit the “refresh” button on your browser or
(2) Open a new browser, and go to https://ababcqp.org, and enter your Username and Password again
Open your Google Authenticator App to receive a code (Note: The code is only available for 30 seconds and then a new code will appear).
When you open Google Authenticator the display will look like the screenshot below:
Enter the passcode.
At this time, you can also elect to check the “Remember this browser” button and this will remember your computer and browser so you won’t need to do the two-factor authentication process every log-in (it will reset every 30 days).
After you complete entering the code from Google Authenticator for the first time, you will receive the following message containing a recovery code. Please secure this code in a safe place, click on the “I have safely recorded this code” checkbox, and hit the continue arrow to be directed to the BCQP Landing Page.
