What are “Pearls”?

Verification Pearls are processes, procedures, and practices that have been identified during site reviews that address criteria in exceptional or creative ways. These may be implemented to address local challenges and are subject to local resources so may not be applicable to all centers. The Verification Committee offers these examples that burn centers may find useful in their verification process. The goal of sharing these is to offer ideas that may improve care. Implementing Pearls does not guarantee that you will meet any specific verification criteria.
