This article outlines the process to become certified as an ABLS Instructor.
Certification Process
After successful completion of the ABLS Instructor course, you are considered an Instructor Candidatean instructor candidate. The credit hours from the course can be found on your transcript under the Account tab > Education Credits > Download Account > Education > Download Transcript.
You must be observed twice by ABLS National Faculty while teaching all 3 three components of the course (lecture, case study, and patient simulation) on separate dates all within 1 one year of completion of the instructor course.

The ABA will be looking to see instruction progress in instruction that takes into account the feedback given in the original observation. |
Complete the Instructor Certification Application, you the instructor certification application. You can find this on the lefthand left side of your ABA account under the ABLS tab > ABLS the ABLS > ABLS Instructor Certification. Both observations will need to be uploaded along with your ABLS Instructor instructor transcript or confirmation email.

Once your application is approved, your instructor certification will be added to your ABA member profile. You will also gain access to the Instructor Community instructor community in myAmeriburn.
